Thomson & Craighead

One of my lecturers told me about an art installation that was held in the DCA in Dundee last year: "Horizon" by Thomson & Craighead.

"Horizon is a narrative clock made out of images accessed in realtime from webcams found in every time zone around the world. The result is a constantly updating array of images that read like a series of movie storyboards, but also as an idiosynratic global electronic sundial."

I think it's a really nice idea on displaying time, but I'm a designer, not a artist, so I need to create something that has a purpose & satisfies people's needs rather than something that looks nice.

Still I like "Horizon", it lets me see what's already been done with webcam feeds.
