I've got the hinges ready to be welded on by engineering. They are SOLID!
I have decided on the font I will be using for the Observer status screen: Perfect DOS VGA 437 - a pixely sans font that looks really nice & clear to read.
Since you wont really be able to tell what content will be on which channel, I have created a channel directory on channel 00. Right now there is only 50 channels, but that might be enough for an exhibition space. It is based on the index used in the old Teletext/Ceefax system.
To make the Observer look like it has been mass manufactured, I have created an information plate (which will be located behind the cash box door) with data such as serial number, model, etc. I am thinking about somehow stamping the serial number into the body of the viewer, but this might prove to be too difficult.
